Regulated Training Programs:
ANY PERSON ENGAGED IN ANY ACTIVITY INVOLVING HAZARDOUS MATERIALS AND WASTE MUST SUCCESSFULLY COMPLETE AN ANNUAL TRAINING AND TESTING PROGRAM
Federal law requires all persons engaged in any activity involving hazardous materials, substances, chemicals and waste to complete an updated training program on the Federal regulations requiring compliance.
U. S. AND STATE DOT (HM-181, H-126F, HM-215A, 49 CFR):
State and Federal DOT regulations require each shipper, generator, carrier and transporter to instruct and test all company officials, employees or agents on the applicable hazardous materials regulations pertaining to their job functions, and contact with hazardous materials and substances on a biennial basis.
U. S. AND STATE EPA (Part 262, 40 CFR)
State and Federal EPA regulations require each generator and owner/operator of a TSD Facility to ensure that all employees engaged in any activity involving hazardous waste, successfully complete a training program on the applicable DOT, OSHA and EPA regulations. This requirement must be carried out on an annual basis.

In addition to the HAZARD DETERMINATION AND COMMUNICATION training requirement for each person exposed to Hazardous Substances in a workplace, OSHA now has been mandated by CERCLA/SARA to carry out a training program for generators, TSD Facilities and Emergency Response personnel on hazardous waste operations and emergency response.
