DOT regulations require shippers and generators of hazardous waste materials to supply an emergency telephone number to be accessed while your materials are in transit or storage (49 CFR 172.602,.604). In the event of an accident or release, information regarding your waste must be made available immediately to emergency personnel 24 hours a day.
