Storage Requirements

Satellite Accumulation

• No more than 55 gallons is accumulated at one time at any one satellite area;
• Container is under direct control of the operator of the process generating the waste;
• Container is marked “Hazardous Waste” or with some other description of contents;
• Container is moved to hazardous waste storage area within 72 hours after filled;
• Container is kept closed except to add or remove waste;

• Containers filled while being kept in the hazardous waste storage area are not satellite accumulation containers.
